How often should you have a Vitamin B12 Injection?

Maintenance Treatment (most patients)

Most people who need regular vitamin B12 injections will have one injection every 12 weeks (every 3 months) to keep their vitamin B12 levels healthy.

Starting Treatment
Some patients may need a short course of more frequent injections at the beginning to restore vitamin B12 levels. This is usually arranged by your GP or specialist and can not be provided by us.

Your Treatment Plan

Your injection schedule will follow the plan recommended by your GP or specialist. Our pharmacist will check this with you before giving the injection.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

Please bring proof of your diagnosis and recommended treatment (such as a GP letter, blood test result, or prescription).

Important

If your treatment plan changes, or you develop new symptoms, please speak to your GP or pharmacist before your next injection.
